What is moissanite?
Moissanite is a lab-created gemstone originally discovered in a meteorite crater. It scores 9.25 on the Mohs hardness scale — second only to diamond at 10. It's not fake, not CZ, and not glass. It's a real, GRA-certified gemstone with exceptional brilliance.
Does moissanite pass a diamond tester?
Yes. Standard diamond testers measure thermal conductivity — and moissanite's is nearly identical to diamond. Our stones pass every standard diamond tester, every time. This has been independently confirmed by jewelers across the country.
What's the difference between moissanite and cubic zirconia (CZ)?
They are completely different stones. CZ is soft, goes cloudy over time, and fails diamond testers. Moissanite is harder, permanently brilliant, and passes diamond tests. There is no comparison in quality.
What does VVS mean?
VVS stands for Very Very Slightly Included — a clarity grade just below flawless. Inclusions at this level are invisible to the naked eye and nearly impossible to see under 10x magnification. This is the same grade used to describe premium diamond jewelry.
Does moissanite sparkle like a diamond?
It actually sparkles more. Moissanite has a higher refractive index than diamond, meaning it catches and disperses light with more fire and brilliance. In direct sunlight, it genuinely outperforms.

What's covered under the lifetime warranty?

What metals are your pieces made from?
All Conture pieces are set in 925 sterling silver. Select styles feature 18K gold or white gold plating. No brass, no mystery metals.
