GRA Certified — Every Stone
GRA Certified — What It Means for Your Stone
Every Conture piece ships with a GRA (Gem Research Authority) certificate of authenticity. This is a third-party lab report for your exact stone — not a marketing claim.
What Is GRA Certification?
GRA is an independent gemological laboratory that grades and certifies moissanite stones. Your certificate includes:
- Stone weight in carats
- Color grade — D–F range, equivalent to the top tier of diamonds
- Clarity grade — VVS1 or VVS2, meaning nearly flawless under 10x magnification
- Cut grade
- A unique certificate number you can verify
Why Our Moissanite Passes the Diamond Tester
Moissanite has thermal conductivity properties nearly identical to diamond. Standard diamond testers — including the ones jewelers use — measure thermal conductivity. Our stones pass every single time. This isn't a trick. It's chemistry.
Only specialized, multi-test equipment costing thousands of dollars can distinguish moissanite from natural diamond. The average person, jeweler, or gemologist using standard tools cannot tell the difference.
How Moissanite Compares
- Hardness: Moissanite scores 9.25 on the Mohs scale. Diamond is 10. Both are extremely scratch-resistant and suitable for everyday wear.
- Brilliance: Moissanite has a higher refractive index than diamond — meaning it catches and reflects more light.
- Fire: Moissanite disperses light into more color flashes than diamond. Under direct light, it truly outshines.
- Price: Our VVS moissanite pieces start from $79. Comparable real diamond jewelry runs $1,500–$5,000+.
